What is the difference between Climate and Weather?
Global Warming and topics about climate change come up in the news, books, and even in politics. But what does it mean? Many people are confused because they do not understand the difference between climate and weather.

What is Senator Inhofe's claim?
How does the snowball give evidence to support his claim?
Does this claim support changes in climate or changes in weather? Explain why.
Does the snowball make the point that Senator Inhofe was trying to make? Explain why or why not.
Create a Diamante Poem
A diamante poem compares and contrasts two terms. The top three lines describe Topic 1 and the bottom three lines describe Topic 2. The middle line has two words for Topic 1 and two words for Topic 2. The poem should make sense and convey a clear thought, even though you have a limited number of words.

- Create a multicolored diagram that helps to visualize CLIMATE to the top left of your diamond shape. Do the same for WEATHER but place the diagram on the bottom right of your diamond shape.
- Create your poem. Follow the guidelines listed on the diagram below to pick the correct type of words for each blank. Each word should fit the requirement listed and be a word that helps describe the topic.
- Write an explanation for how the terms in your poem and your diagrams relate for each topic. Write the explanation for CLIMATE on the top right of your diamond shape and the explanation for WEATHER on the bottom left of your diamond shape.
